When you buy a FrontBackandSides sling you are agreeing that you have read the following safety recommendations.
As with all slings, regularly check the structural integrity of your carrier. All seams and stitching can become worn over time if not cared for.
Follow the instructions on how to use your carrier. If you have never used one before you may prefer to practice with a doll or teddy to become accustomed to the sling before using with a child. Become familiar with the MT in the front carry before using it to back carry. FrontBackandSides are always happy to help with any positioning issues you want to discuss with us.
Make sure the child is properly attached to you, and tied tightly with no gaps. Check ties and knots when wearing. Allow space to breathe and do not place baby in the sling so that they are curled, chin to chest. The head should be upright. Until your baby has good head control ensure that the baby is properly supported by the carriers body and that the shoulder straps are tied securely across babies back. If the baby appears to be slumping into the body of the carrier readjust and tighten with baby secured tightly.
Do not do anything with your child in a sling that you wouldn’t be happy doing whilst holding them. Cycling, running and rock climbing might be do-able with the MT but that doesn’t make them sensible! If you choose to cook whilst wearing a sling ensure that both baby and sling are well away from anything sharp or hot. A back carry may be the only option but be careful!
If you bend over or stoop whilst wearing your baby then please bend at the knees and keep your back as straight as possible. Use one hand to secure your child if necessary.
Always be aware of your Childs body in relation to your own, especially when going through doorways and narrow areas with a child on your back. Remember your child will be able to reach out and grab at things too. If you are aware of your child and their relationship to you and the surrounding space you shouldn’t encounter a problem.
You will not need to over-dress your baby whilst out and about in the sling. Your body heat will help keep them warm. A snowsuit should not be necessary unless being worn over your coat on a very cold day. Close contact helps to regulate body temperature of carer and child, and so equally the sling can be used in hot weather without the child overheating as long as suitably attired.

Availability, delivery and dispatch of goods
Payment is by paypal, you do not have to be registered with paypal to use this payment processing system. You will be forwarded to the paypal website when you click on a buy button. You have the option to terminate the transaction after clicking on the buy button. After completion of the paypal process you will be sent a confirmation email.
The stock availability is updated manually. If the item you have ordered is out of stock you will be notified and offered a replacement or refund. The replacement will be classed as a new order as it will be your choice.
In-stock slings will be posted within 2 working days of receipt of order. Same day dispatch is our aim. Custom made slings will be made and dispatched within 10 days, sooner if possible. You will be kept informed of the status of your order.
Once the sling is with the PO it is out of my control how long it takes to reach you. If you would like next day or insured delivery please inform me on ordering and you will be billed separately.
Postage within the UK is free. Postage outside the UK is £7 and will be added at checkout.
The consumer has the right to cancel within seven working days for most goods and services. This period runs from the day the contract was concluded for services, and from the day after the day of delivery for goods. Goods must be in un-used and re-saleable condition. The distance selling regulations are not the same as a 7 day trial period! The right to cancel does not apply to custom orders. Return postage will not be refunded for returns unless previously agreed.

Data protection, privacy and security
We will never sell or pass on your details to third parties. Payment is processed by paypal and we never have access to any card details.
FrontBackandSides collects personally identifying information when you register for an account. We do not sell or share this information. We use cookies to remember you when you visit. You may turn off cookies but it may restrict your ability to use the shopping cart part of this website.
When buying goods and services on the Internet, the consumer is entering a legally binding contract.
